Review:

This is my first Kasie West book after hearing people I know RAVE about her.

Caymen is 17, living with her mother in an apartment about their doll shop. Caymen is sarcastic, brash and poor. Her hobbies include science and rich-people watching. She spends most of her time helping out in the shop and selling creepy dolls to tourists and rich people. Enter Xander.

Xander is charming, rich and handsome. When he walks into Dolls and More and ‘beckons’ Caymen, she thinks that he’s just another spoiled rich guy. However, they strike up an unlikely friendship. Neither of them have concrete plans for the future, and they set out on a series of ‘career days’ to try to discover what the future has in store for them.

As they grow closer, Caymen has to deal with the secrets her mother is keeping as well as misunderstandings between her and Xander.

Xander and Caymen are adorable and I love their snark. I needed this book in my life and I am excited to explore the rest of Kasie West’s books.
